The English Lake District is an area of outstanding natural beauty and we consider it a privilege to work here every day.
With such a backdrop, we take the environment very seriously and always try to ensure we work with nature, not against it.
Wherever possible, we avoid the use of chemicals in clearing patios and paths, and in the treatment of plants.
Any chemicals sprayed run off into the water system and inevitably end up in the Lakes that we love and call home.

We aim to create gardens that leave room for wildlife, as well as offering clean open spaces for you to relax and enjoy the scenery.
In all our landscape design, we would push that a minimum of a third (and preferably more) of your garden remains organic and beneficial to nature.
We don't believe in sterile spaces filled with concrete and devoid of greenery.
Rather, a pleasant mix of areas to enjoy the beauty of the Lakes and leave room for the birds, butterflies and bees.
Lawn clippings are composted and we would usually recommended a client have composting of some sort on site.
This can then be used throughout the year to provide nutrient rich soil for borders.
Wood cuttings are processed and re-used as mulch for borders, thus saving money for the client on expensive plastic bagged chippings and reducing the carbon footprint of the garden.
Any logs can be cut, dried and stored on site for the client to use in their wood burner or open fire, providing carbon neutral heating for the house where carbon captured in the garden is released whilst more continues to be captured.
